Affiliate Disclosure
How Alfresco Living Tech makes money, and what that means for the advice you read here.
The short version
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Alfresco Living Tech contains affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. It never costs you anything extra - you pay the same price you would have paid going direct.
Which programmes we take part in
- Amazon Associates. Alfresco Living Tech is a participant in the
Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide
a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.
Amazon links on this site usually appear as
amzn.toshort links. - eBay Partner Network. We link to eBay listings and categories, mainly on the eBay Offers page.
- AWIN. We work with garden and outdoor-living retailers through the
AWIN network, including Mint Outdoors, Garden Sanctuary, Ninja UK and Sunjoy. These
links usually appear as
tidd.lyshort links, and some appear as banner advertisements.
How to spot an affiliate link
Every outbound affiliate link on this site is marked up with
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and opens in a new tab. Visually, they
carry a small ↗ marker. Any page that carries Amazon links shows the Amazon Associate
disclosure at the top, before the content, without you needing to click anything.
What we will not do
- We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive recommendation.
- We do not recommend products we would not use ourselves, and we say when we think something is not worth buying.
- We do not state prices in our own copy. Prices change constantly and quoting them inaccurately would breach the affiliate programme terms we work under - so we link out to the current listing instead.
- We do not reproduce retailers' product photography or descriptions beyond what their affiliate programmes permit.
Accuracy and liability
We are not the retailer. Stock, pricing, specifications and delivery are matters between you and the seller, and we have no control over them. Always read the product listing and the retailer's own terms before buying. Nothing on this site is professional advice - particularly around electrical work, hot tub installation and fire safety, where you should use a qualified trade.
Cookies and tracking
Affiliate programmes use cookies to attribute a sale to the site that referred it. We also use analytics to understand which pages are useful. None of the analytics scripts load unless you accept them - see the cookie banner, which you can reopen at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Rejecting means no analytics scripts are loaded at all.
